Allow me to introduce you to my two *very* cute distractions.
I say distractions in the nicest way possible. I truly believe there is no one on Earth more uniquely qualified to take care of these two people than I am. And that's so fun but also WOWWWW PRESSURE.
For me, working on something outside of motherhood:
turns on a part of my brain I desperately need to use to feel human.
allows me to contribute financially to my household.
gives me an opportunity to help other people.
And I learned the hard way that to truly show up as a Mom I have to give work separate space. For just a few hours a week, I leave the kids with a sitter, drive to The Treasury and dig in on work.
It's fulfilling and productive to have the time away, but what it really gives me is quality time with my kids. Because when I'm home, all I have to do is be Mom.
If you're into that, try us a week for free and see if it's a good fit.
