3 Things I'm Praying for OKC Women This Summer

As someone who has no business degree and zero entrepreneurship experience before opening The Treasury, it probably doesn’t surprise you to know I don’t employ traditional lead lists or sales funnels to grow my business.

I’ve tried formal strategies over the years and have found what feels most authentic to me is simply serving local women. And because my faith is important tome, part of genuinely caring about the women of Oklahoma City means praying for them. I routinely pray over our space, our current membership and the female community as a whole. Here are three ways I’m praying for you this summer:

Your Capacity

I don’t have to tell you summer is busy. For most people, the typical rhythm and routine followed the rest of the year comes completely unhinged in the summer months. I’m praying this summer that God provides you with the capacity to think and create and execute in a way that only He can. I pray you will finish the summer, look back at what you’ve made and know that it was only by God’s grace that it was done.

And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. -Philippians 1:6

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. -2 Corinthians 9:8

Your Creativity

I am praying you can combat the tendency to compare your summer to anyone else’s and instead embrace what God created you and only you to do. I pray you will find creative ways to manage your time and resources and that this is a season marked by fun, rest and creative thought.

Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. -Isaiah 43:19.

Your Connections

We were created to live in community, but are experiencing more loneliness than ever. I pray your summer is marked by refreshing time with friends and family, deeper connections with those you know already and new friendships to keep you accountable and inspired.

We should keep on encouraging each other to be thoughtful and to do helpful things. Some people have given up the habit of meeting for worship, but we must not do that. We should keep on encouraging each other, especially since you know that the day of the Lord's coming is getting closer. -Hebrews 10:24-25

I hope you are encouraged to know I’m praying for you! If there’s a specific way I can serve you, please reach out!
