My love/hate letters to three Treasures who are moving on

It's that time of year for reflection and one of biggest joys and biggest pains of the last quarter was watching three incredible Treasures outgrow our space. These stung pretty bad because these ladies have massively shaped our community over the past few years. It’s also been a magical time of seeing what happens when women invest in themselves and their own ideas. My brief love/hate letters to them:

Mary Siems: I will never forgive you for building a successful business and then continuing to keep it running while taking a full-time job with a powerhouse real estate group. How dare you?

The grace you show yourself and others through your work has been so fun to watch. You're a shining example of what can happen when you trust your own intuition instead of just accepting the easiest next step. Please keep doing that. You’ve been both my guinea pig and my north star for so many ideas. Thank you.

Kalie Fry: It seems like just yesterday you were working to get one more client signed so you could afford a membership. Now I get a front row seat to watch your client roster grow as fast as your team as you move into your own space next-door.

I’m so inspired by your willingness to share your expertise with those around you and with your enormous heart for giving back through your work. Never stop showing up and taking on risks and new ideas. You’re making everyone around you better in the process. Thank you.

Lauren Warkentine: The only thing that made me more shocked than you leaving The Treasury (FOR YOUR OWN BUILDING!!!) was when you joined. How was it possible that this superstar corporate VP-turned-entrepreneur was going to be a member at my little old coworking space?

The integrity you run your business with has been so inspiring to watch. You’ve taught me and everyone around you how to overcome the fear, truly meet a need with your business and be willing to fail along the way while you figure it out. This entire community is better for your unyielding support and your listening ear in low moments. Thank you.

Of course I knew this day would come, as it will for many women who call The Treasury home base for their business. And although it may be bitter for me, this is sweet news if you’ve thought of joining The Treasury. Desks are available now. If you’re reading this and you have a dream of starting or growing a business for yourself, here’s your sign to bet on yourself and join us.
